Luke Soneral is a Minnesota-based composer whose music immerses listeners in complex works of energy and playfulness. A "prodigious talent" with a "bright trajectory ahead" (Annapolis Symphony Orchestra), his musical philosophy engages in vivid imagery, lyricism, personal heritage, and folk music from around the world.

Soneral's 2025-26 season includes premieres and performances by groups such as the Orlando Philharmonic, Opera Italiana, Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS), Southeastern Minnesota Youth Symphonies (SEMYO), Juilliard Pre-College Symphony, and more. His other recent collaborators include the Minnesota Orchestra, Annapolis Symphony, Minnesota Sinfonia, Northern Symphony, Wayzata Symphony, Hopkins Westwind Concert Band, Little Orchestra Society, New York Virtuoso Singers, and National Youth Orchestra among others. His works have been performed in a variety of world-renowned concert halls, and have received premieres in venues such as the Kennedy Center in D.C., the Dr. Phillips Center in Orlando, Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis and the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Soneral's music has been played on stages across five U.S states, four countries, and three global continents. Additionally, Soneral received an honorable mention in the 2025 BMI Composer Awards.

During the school year, Luke attends Juilliard Pre-College, where he studies with Dr. Eric Ewazen. In addition to his compositional studies at Juilliard, Luke plays piano and double bass with the Symphony Orchestra of the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies.
